Target Audience: Industrial Recycling Partners, HVAC Contractors, Logistics Team Members, and Operations Staff.

Welcome to the HVAC Recycle mobile application. This guide walks you through setting up your account, managing equipment submissions, tracking high-purity metal grading, and handling your data securely.

1. Getting Started & Account Setup

Account Registration

  1.  Download and install HVAC Recycle from the Google Play Store.
  2. Open the app and tap Sign Up.
  3. Enter your professional details: Full Name, Business Email Address, and Phone Number.
  4. Create a secure password.
  5. Tap Register. A verification link will be sent to your email to activate your account.

Profile Configuration

Before submitting materials, complete your profile to streamline logistics:

  •  Navigate to Settings > Company Profile.
  • Input your business name, primary operating address, and commercial logistics/dispatch contact numbers.

2. Managing Equipment & Material Submissions

The core function of the app is to log, track, and process decommissioned HVAC units and scrap materials for high-purity mechanical recovery.

Logging a New Material Shipment

  1. From the main dashboard, tap the + New Submission button.
  2. Select Equipment Type: Choose from standard categories (e.g., Residential Split System, Commercial Rooftop Unit, Chiller, or Loose Coils/Copper Tubing).
  3. Log Quantities & Specifications: Input the number of units, estimated weights, and manufacturer details if available (e.g., Trane, Carrier, Lennox).
  4. Attach Photos: Use your Android device’s camera to upload clear photos of the units, data plates, or material piles. This assists our operations team with rapid grading.
  5. Submit: Tap Submit for Review. You will receive an instant confirmation number.

3. Tracking Metallurgy & Logistics

Metallurgical Grading & Purity

Once your materials are received at our processing centers and passed through our granulation or shredding lines, the app updates with real-time purity data:

  • Go to the Shipments tab.
  • Tap any completed transaction to view the Purity Report.
  • The app will display precise recovery metrics for high-purity copper (e.g., Bare Bright, #1 Copper) and aluminum, separated mechanically from the HVAC coils.

Coordinating Logistics & Pickups

  • Schedule a Pickup: For high-volume commercial drop-offs, tap Logistics > Request Pickup.
  • Location Services: Ensure your device’s location permissions are enabled. The app uses your precise location coordinates to map out the most efficient freight routing for our logistics team.
  • Status Updates: Track your logistics lifecycle in real-time through four main phases: Pending Request ➔ Dispatched ➔ Received at Facility ➔ Processed & Graded.

4. Account Settings & Data Management

We give you full transparency and control over your account, built strictly in compliance with Google Play’s user data standards.

Managing Notifications

  •  Go to Settings > Notifications.
  • Toggle alerts for Price Updates (tracking daily commodity baselines), Logistics Dispatches, and Purity Report Alerts.

Updating Personal Information

  • Access Settings > Account Details to instantly update your email, phone number, or change your password.

Permanent Account & Data Deletion

If you need to close your corporate account and completely erase your personal data footprint:

  1.  Navigate to Settings > Account Management.
  2. Tap Delete Account.
  3. Confirm the prompt.

Important Compliance Note: Upon confirming, all personal identifiers (name, phone, email) are instantly deleted from our active servers. Per federal and state scrap metal recycling licenses, historical material weights and transaction ledgers are retained securely for mandatory legal compliance periods before being permanently anonymized.

5. Troubleshooting & Support

If you encounter technical bugs, crash freezes, or upload errors, please try the following steps:

 Clear App Cache: Go to Android Settings ➔ Apps ➔ HVAC Recycle ➔ Storage ➔ Clear Cache.

 App Diagnostics: If an unexpected crash occurs, crash logs are securely transmitted to our development team automatically over an encrypted TLS connection to assist us in pushing a rapid bug fix.
